Equally
The redirect will be distributed equally between your target links. For instance, you can test 3 different versions of a page to quickly discover which offers, messages, and experiences truly engage your visitors. If you do not specify the targeting rules of your short link MyShortlink.com/ABCTest which contains 3 Smart links, the traffic will be distributed equally by default. Thus, 100 click traffic will be distributed as follows:
- 33.33% - myDestinationURL.com/test-A
- 33.33% - myDestinationURL.com/test-B
- 33.33% - myDestinationURL.com/test-C
Targeting
Capsulink SmartURL feature offers you to create redirect rules according to the following criteria: Country, Language, Device, and Time. One SmartURL can contain one or many of these criteria.
NOTE: One SmartURL cannot contain two identical criteria.
NOTE: AND condition must be used between the groups of criteria, while between the elements in the each group “OR” condition must be employed. In case none of the Smart URL criteria apply, the traffic will be redirected to your Default URL.
For instance, you can divide the traffic to your product page according to the visitor’s country and the time of the year. Simply add Smart links to your short link MyShortlink.com/ProductPage that contain the following targeting options:

Group Country: USA, Canada
Group Time: 25th of December
The redirect rule will work if the person visits your page in (USA OR Canada) AND (25th December)

The redirect rule will work if the person visits your page in (USA OR Canada) AND (14th of February)
